My new B4NDIT

Bought from Bandito.
Car was a circle tracker at one time, then raced in Chump/Lemons events.
Nice cage, 2 rear kickers and a angled bar were added by someone else, not as nice.
Nice Kirkey and cover, removable steering wheel. Fire bottle. Runs and drives but must need either an internal shift fork or the linkage is fubared as it has no first gear and no neutral.
I'm thinking this would be a nice car to clean up and park by the stands during races. Staighten her up, repaint and put a huge 5 foot B4NDIT logo on it or something... Leave it at the track possibly.
I'm thinking maybe make this a class project?
Anyone who puts in 10 hours or more to get this thing driving properly and shined up gets 1 night of racing. You break it you fix it.
Thoughts?
not a bad idea. shine it up. make a little spec sheet for people to see how cheap it is to start racing.
That's what I was thinking. Like "you too can be a real race car driver!"
$500 car
$500 cage
$500 safety
GO RACIN!
Maybe a little more detailed but u get the picture.
if u do that i want a night to see what it had. lol
If you want to help, sure you can get a night.
It's mine.
that cage needs some work. that bar should be under the column not over. the kickers look hacked up. and the x bars look like a child welded them in. who ran this car before? i could swear i saw this car at I55 at the end of the year looking just like it does now??? any of u guys run down there?

The cage was built well, possibly a kit, that was then added on to, to be Chump/Lemons legal.
The rear kickers and diagonal in the main hoop are NOT well done at all.
BOOGER welds.
I plan on cutting them out and redoing them.
The rest is nice however.
I see alot folks running that dash bar like that, easy and cheap to install by going in front of the dash. I imagine since it's so far back it's gotta be higher up above the column for driver knee clearance.
It's my understanding the car hasnt raced since early summer 2011, and that was at a Chump event.
I do believe Robby Johler used this as an enduro car a long time back.
its fine in front of the dash but the bar should be underneath your sterring column. if for some reason your "tilt" break or you get in a wreck and the column gets ripped out (serious wreck/ but possible tear the rack n pinion out and send the column into your lap) but better to plan before cuz if something does happen it could cause serious bodily harm. mount your seat lower dont worry about clearance better to have legs than to be the guy that was told so...
also door bar pad (easy to make if u can sew) pm me if u want some things to do to that cage to make it really nice and safe im sure you know how but i got some trick that could help keep u safe and make your car saweet
