For Sale: 1992 Honda Civic Race Car

I present to you, "Lucy".  This is a 1992 EG Civic Sedan.  This was owned by a friend and driven as a daily for years.  It then took possesion, already slathered in this gorgeous "Hawaiian Sky" hue. 

We built it to compete at Wilmot Raceway's 3/8 mile dirt oval.

The cage was built here in house at Massive Speed.  

First and foremost, this isn't a backyard bogie roll bar made out of conduit.  It's a properly bent and welded unit made from 1 5/8" .134 ERW steel, 1 3/4 for the main hoop.  It's got a halo stlye top bar and two down bars, a rally X style taco'd double drivers door bar, single pass side bar, 2 down bars and a dash bar.  2 rear facing kickers.  Welded in rear shock tower brace.  Lots of weight removal/gutting/trimming.  Lots of roll bar padding.  Correct 6 x 6 inch plates at tube bases.

It's legal at Wilmot and many other local oval tracks.  It's also been approved for competition in Chump events.

That brings us to the last statement.  While Lucy served us well making only left turns, last winter we made the decision to try our hands at some endurance road racing.  Thusly, alot of the current parts and modifications suit on road handling.  Due to the proper cage, I'd say her highest and best use, would indeed to be returned to the road race circuit.  However should you be more of a oval track man, you can sell off some of the very expensive parts on it and still have one hell of a left turner.

There is no engine or trans in it, as it expired on lap 2 of our Chump experience.  It was running a D16Z6.

I also have a plastic race seat and pad than can go with it if needed.

I also have a complete 1992 Civic sedan parts car that can go with.  Very nice shape!  I removed but still have 3 perfect doors, a perfect trunk and 2 perfect fenders.  

I also have several D series trans, a couple blocks, several intake manifolds, distributors, throttle bodies, etc that could be included.

It has dents and scrapes that may or not be pictured, it's a racecar.

Never rolled, never wrecked.

Fact is this car is worth a ton more in parts, it should be parted out - but it would be a terrible shame to ruin a nice straight car.  

It's going up for $1000 on the Chumpcar/Lemons sites.
