Awesome they got a date on the tour! Just curious though, how come LaSalle is promoting the event? An excellent date also with the 7th being a Saturday.
Yeah what's up with lasalle promoting it? They have a date too right?

did u see how many people showed up last time they came thru? i assume thats why. if they wanna bring more big shows besides IRA there gonna need to bring some fans in...
I understand y a track would want to bring the action in im just unsure what lasalle has to do with promoting wilmots night. Lasalle has their own night too

its not lasalle promoting it. its tony izzo jr.
izzo is a very good promoter for making that money bringing cars and fans in and for drivers as well. they have a full schedule ready to go and rules at lasalle before xmas. somethig wilmot is lacking at this point in time.
but wilmot is also trying to there hardest to improve!!! going to shows and classes learning. (maybe izzo is trying to help?) only steve sinclair could answer that.
im sure it will benefit both partys and drivers from both tracks
lasalle has lucas oil too!!! if sinclair can work with izzo and get lucas oil now ur talking bloomquist, shannon babb, the cars and stars of dirt late models. thats will bring big money and big payouts. as well as track sponsors too i bet
off topic bump (where did 2 fearless four drivers go race this year 4/5 times lasalle----on some off nights i saw more there as well)
So by the sounds of the Facebook post this event is not set in stone yet? Hopefully everything gets worked out and this happens!
the have been to wilmot before. n didnt even fill the stands like a IRA night it twas a joke
I wonder if the distance to "regular" UMP tracks played a roll. Also maybe a week night? Other then fire work shows that weekend sounds superb for car counts
any heel tour race brings big names. ever watch late models race? "ump" sanctioning bodys makes it mandatory that each sanction track is so far away. and for guys running that series "distance" isnt that big of deal. its a month of racing dude. im stoked to see wilmot got another chance and i hope they do well, but sinclair is a sprinter and idt he is too worrried about letting late models invade his "home". but late models are big right now. i see WoO on tv once twice a year. vs. latemodels i see almost on a weekly basis!!! that shows me where the $ is and where the fans are. wdlma brings good cars... theres very few "late model" tracks around most tracks local are running sprint cars.
but u can see more and more guys traveling to go run "competition" and race with bigger car counts and more payout
Wilmot need to advertising. Not a week before race either !!!! I think a good idea would be sell tickets on line . It's a great way to keep track of your head count .
true that bettack. but idt there too worried about promoting. ive thougth of having a 500 to win 4 cylinder show and started some leg work and it was never pursude by wilmot staff. so i said fuk it. lots of tracks take adcatage of specials idk im not a promoter

from the Wilmot Facebook page it looks like this race will not happen...this track seems to be happy with their sprint show and the modifieds they get.
Iam with on That to. Maybe all classes should run wing's then ,LOL
