The buy here pay here guys do not build your credit. Common misconception, best thing to do would be go to the bank put a couple grand down and take whatever they will give you for a loan. pay it on time make double payments then get a bigger loan if needed when possible. If they won't give you an auto loan put some money down (300-1,000) get a secured credit card. Make your payments that will start building your credit.

Making double payments will do nothing to biuld your credit. If your loan commitment ends early cause youre paying over your required amount youre just wasting time you could be using to help your credit. They expect you to pay the full amount, but paying every month and ON TIME is what they really like to see.

Making double payments shows you have the available income to support more  financial load. I was a credit analyst before MBNA credit cards sold out to Bank of America

Nope.  He's just a dude.  Go to your local credit union/bank.  Great Lakes Credit Union financed me on a used car when I was 19 and had very little credit.
