Why cant we sipe or groove our tires???
spring rubbers??
door, hood, trunk gutting allowed??
aftermarket bumpers??
upgraded plug wires??

What will the tech consist of?? and will the cars be teched every night maybe even a set weight?? Will there even be a tech at the end of feature??

Siping and grooving can be expensive and is kinda exotic.

If you springs and damper fit in the stock location, I dont see why you couldnt run a rubber.

Doesnt say you cant gut, do it.

Per the rules: "Stock appearingbumpers REQUIRED".  If you want to make some tin or plastic that somewhat resembles a stock protege/civic/neon, I'd say thats fine in my eyes.  Maybe a monte carlo nose if your so inclined.  Wont help you win races in my book tho.

Stock "long block".  Wires and ignition system are outside that, so that would be A-OK I's reckon.

Tech will happen as often and to as many carrs as possible I'd have to say, of course that's not my position to say, but I'm sure you ought to expect it any or every night.  Im SURE they arent going to tell you when tho.  Why weigh?

when i raced at the dells this past year... they weighed the cars to keep the competition fair from lets say a integra to a escort... horsepower and motor size..

evens it out a bit.. i think

i think we should be allowed to groove and sipe.. just my opinion

Weight
Motor Size (in cc) Minimum weight
1. 0 to 1999 2200 lbs
2. 2000 to 2299 2300 lbs
3. 2300 to 2600 2400 lbs
4. For 2 valve OHC engine Add 25 lbs
5. For 3 valve OHC engine Add 75 lbs
6. For 4 valve OHC engine Add 100 lbs
7. Add another 100 lbs for VTech
8. All weights include driver
9. All weights will be securely bolted to frame or cage, be painted white, and have car number on it
10. Any car with an apparent time advantage can and will be required to add additional weight in 100 lb increments
11. Weight for all cars will be 57% front-45% right side minimums of total weight of car w/driver

1. all flammable materials MUST be removed not MAY.

2. wheels must fit within STOCK fenders

3.(add to battery section) IF BATTERY IS NOT TIED DOWN IN A SAFE MANNER YOU WILL NOT RACE.

4.(add to flywheel section) if you do not have an inspection hole you will be asked to remove your transmission. if you do not remove it, then no points or money will be awarded.

5. no RX7 or rotary cars will be allowed.

6. (add to engine section) no heads from other blocks will be allowed to be swapped for "frankenstein" style engines.

no weight rule will be enforced. i am not a fan of it at all. i think its balanced enough through manufacturers. if its a small car it has a small engine. big cars have big engines.

spring rubbers are fine with me.

gutting hoods and trunks is fine with me. as long as its not effecting your safety (tech inspectors opinion will apply). doors can only be gutted if you have a minimum of two door bars. (add to rules)

tech inspection will occur at any point in the program we decide to tech.  expect it to be "very thorough" since this has been a huge issue the last few years and been the source of a lot of complaints. everyone has the right to modify their cars now. PLAY BY THE RULES. start off with the right car and you will not have to cheat. there will be no more "gray area" if the tech inspectors even think something isnt right you will get no money or points. END OF STORY.

lets start taking ideas for names for the class too. please post your ideas. for now im going with "PRO 4"
unless something better comes up thats what it will be.

I think the posted rules do alot to level the playing field with the compression and motor mount limits.  I dont believe a weight rule is necessary.  But it could be considered next year.

Weighing would be tricky, I know Steve said early this year that he didn't want the 4's tearing up the scales, they're pretty pricey. Something tells me if you wanted the cars to be weighed you'd have to provide your own scales.

tearing up scales? lol. how is that possible. thats more up to the operator

its very easy to use the scales.. we simply rolled right on sitting in the car.. they told us our weight and rolled us off and away we went.. on the same scales the late models used.. just as expensive and probably nicer then the ones at wilmot... it would keep it alot fairer... that extra 100 pounds for a competitive car, and extra weight for a vtech would do us good.. but that is up to you guys, i wont be racing there full time next year with either of my 2 cars...

my car is light and has a motor that only puts out 127 hp... i have heard reports of acura and honda motors making close to 150-175 hp with some of the different motors, and they are around the same weight.. it really doesnt matter to me... im just trying to help..

Your such a pussy Taylor.

We all understand WHY some tracks/classes have weight rules/restrictions/penalties/etc.  Its a way to even the class.  But the formation of this particular rule set has intended to do with a different method.  I for one value your input.  You also had TWO chances to come to the meetings to speak your mind - who know's a weight system may have gone into effect.  For now, I think what we have should be given a shot.

I give mad props to all the folks who cared enough about the class that came out to the meetings.   I think we did a damn fine job of hammering out a great set of 2011 rules.  Thanx!!!

your whole poor attitude started when you got caught cheating with illegal tires. you werent the only one who got caught cheating. just let it go. be more positive we are trying to make the class grow. trying to make things better.
