rules meeting
thats the point im trying to get across. most people agree with me but there a few fighting changes. how many cars did you have in your stock class vs. how many do you have now?
You know, the more I think of it the more I like the modified 4 cylinder idea. I mean, if you get some of these buggers going a little faster they could beat out almost a whole pack of street stocks. Plus it would be more worth going to the races to be able to go to the pits afterwards and see what people are running. Plus there wouldn't be many hurt feelings because someone didn't interperet the rules right.
About 4 years ago we had about 12-14 cars in total half were standard we now have in our local area about 30 cars in total 4 of them are standard. 2 of the standard cars are driven by senior gentlemen one is 68 years old he drives a 2007 2.4 mitisubishi lancer, he just loves the sport.
We had a race meeting at Kingaroy Queensland on Saturday night I have attached a link to my laps if anyone is interested in the lap times and placings. Compare the lap times of our 4cly cars to the AMCA nationals ( they are a chassis sedan with a 253 cubic inch v8 on racing rubber) not a lot of difference in times realy, I think I was as fast as their 10 fastest and their others were only 0.2-0.5 Faster

Your thinking in the right direction suprajake, I have raced my focus against some rather powerfull 6 cyl cars and won a feature race or two, man they dont like it i tell you.And yes you are always checking out the outher guys improvements and making some yourself.Good luck with it guys
We had quite a discussion (approx 2.5 hrs) that resulted in some decent headway. We've voted on several items that will become part of the 2011 rules. There is however a good deal of discussion related to the class being a true "stock" class or a "mod" class.
I will post a recap of the new rule additions, as well as a summary of the different options we will vote on at the next meeting.
