08+ suspension options

so here is my dilemma...i am on a few other forums and i have read alot about different suspensions. My 2009 is mostly just a DD but maybe in the future i will do some AutoX with a friend. this being said i really cant afford the spend the money for coil-over and everything else that i need. I know that I need the omni-kit adaptor for the 06+ models but then i am stuck on what i need after that..i really dont want to spend a bunch of money trying to keep at all under 400 no more than 500...i know suspension is not a area you want to be cheap in but for now I just want something to close the wheel gap on my DD…I already added 17” over my 16” so that helped to close the gap a good but I still need about 1.5 to 2”. Thank you for taking the time to read this
That tight of a budget doesnt leave many options. Being an 08, your also quite limited. You'll need to convert back to the 00-05 style suspension by using the Massive OMNI-KIT adapter.
You could do the complete SVT damper setup from FR, it comes complete with the shocks, struts, spring hats, mounts, bumpstops and bearings for $195 (you'll need most of that ancillary stuff, the hats/mounts/bearings to complete the suspension retrofit on an 08). Couple that with a set off the Ford Racing ZXM springs for $149 (1.5" drop) and the Massive OMNI-KIT for $99, and you'll have a good performing vehicle with much nicer looks.

do i need to worry about camber with that much of a drop?
Not always. Seems to depend on the car sometimes, but this is a more mild drop, so most of the time, no you wont need anything.
thank you again
do the omni kit make it possible for 08+ cars to use the sway bars from older models 05-???
No sir. The only function the omni kit serves is to adapt 00-04 struts to 05 and up foci. But I believe all sway bars for 00-11 are the same...
You CAN indeed use any sway on your 08. 00-11. If your 08 did not come with a factory rear sway, you'll need the bracket kit from Steeda, or swap to a RSB equipped rear sub frame. Unless you happen upon a complete rear disc SVT subframe, that's probably alot of work.
