"Quick's" new ride - 04 ZX3 2.3 Duratec Autocross car

Aaron William's intense driving skills have earned him the intimidating moniker, "quick" over the years in his home territory of Chicagoland.  He has been an avid autocrosser and road racer for some time now, so when it came time to construct a new ride for the balance of the 2010 season, only a whip with similiar characteristics to his aptly applied handle would do.

As a former pilot of a track day only 2002 Focus SVT, Aaron knew his aggressive style was an excellent match for the accurate handling and easy upgrade-ability of the Focus platform.  A somewhat lengthy search of the internet was undertaken to find the perfect combo - the very limited production 03-04 Focus ZX3 with the new powerful 2.3 Duratec mill, a rare bird indeed.  Later Foci in the lightweight 2 door hatchback bodystyle could only be had with the smaller 2.0 version, and nearly all of the other 00-04 ZX3's were of the Zetec or SVT varieties - great cars, but no match for the latest tricks in Ford's bag.

As luck would have it, an example was located only a short distance away in Detroit, Michigan, and with Arron a high end vehicle transporter by trade, a deal was struck within a few short hours of finding the gem and she was brought home.

The car had a few miles on her, but was in overall superb condition.  It already had a few choice modifications as well, including an F2 header and genuine HKS exhaust!  Aaron quickly ditched the street wheels in favor of his left over 15 x 8 inch ATS wheels and Hoosier track rubber.

As seen, Massive powdercoated the VC, intake mani and intake in their signature purple pearl hue to match it's stress bars.  True rep here!!!

In the last 3 weekends since Aaron has had the car back, the car has gone UNDEFEATED in his class - eclipsing competitors times by multiple SECONDS (akin to hours in autocrossing!!!), and posted better times than highly modified and forced induction Foci in other classes.  Nationals is just 1.5 weeks away...  William's in 2010?  The "quick" answer is YES!!!

She was also treated to some weight reduction, with Massive removing the AC system and cruise, a legitimate near 50 lb loss!
