I'll be there test driving a car, does that count?
I think that counts, yes.
Then I'll be there... What kind of hand we talking?
Like. A hand. A round of applause. That's it. No money.
ill be there. bet youre happy about that :P
Wouldnt have it any other way, we love you Steve.
That's what I thought, no money. Pretty much the same as always, but if there's applause that would be a step up I think. See y'all there!
So anyone else get the DIRT on the cops in the pits Saturday night? After the races were done there were 2 sheriff's cars and a gaggle of cops wandering about. There were searching rather thoroughly a Chevy truck. Someone told me they were looking for CRACK. No joke. Weird.
Someone got arrested for having drugs, and there has been alot of talking about a certian group that has been smoking pot during the races, but other then that i dont know anything else.
Wow that'd be interesting... Imagine a cracked up 4 cylinder driver? Might drive like the 17p...
i would be pissed. if its true they should not let him on track property again. if you cant stop for a couple hours you have a major problem.
well this certain race team that got caught drinking before races ended and smoking pot was surprisingly back on saturday. i think it was not fair, but he did not get the points for the night, or get paid, and knowing them thats going to be something they are going to cry about for a while, even though its just karma.
At this point I think Wilmot is looking at everything from a money standpoint. They can't get their shit together so they're losing people, so they're jacking the grandstand prices to try to make it back. They won't keep people out of the pits because it's $25 a head and they want that money. Hell, Brian, the 22 car, a few races ago was there. He was it. He had brought his girlfriend, and her parents and his also I think, but they wanted to charge $25 for their year old (if even that old) baby to get into the pits. Needless to say, they lost what, 5 paying adults pit passes that night? Money grubbing bastards they are, what the hell is a year old baby going to benefit from being in the pits? Can't even walk yet but let's charge 25 for a pit pass. They just want the money. Not that the drivers even see most of that, at least our class doesn't. Upper classes might see more, but still, damn. Have you seen the prices this year? Seems most of the grandstand prices are $20 per adult on race nights. There was one night where they were $10 as a special deal. When I was spectating in 07 and 08 it was $8 per adult, then $12 per adult, respectively. As prices have gone up the attendance has gone down and they're starting to panic now I think. Oh well. Now they make $50 per night less because they couldn't sort anything out. Corina and myself won't be paying pit passes anymore this year, and car count is down 1 more. From what I've heard here and there, there's a few more cars that may or may not complete the year. I wish they could have gotten things together, Wilmot is the only track close enough for me to go to weekly.
It's still usually $10 for grandstands. More than half of the nights would be $10 at least by my count. Only the special events are more.

The only reason they had to charge the baby for a pit pass is because insurance reasons, if the baby gets hurt hes paid for insurance, they pay so much insurance on that place it isnt even funny. The IRA nights are more expensive cuz its the IRA, i dont know, they really arent as bad as the simons were, it was $30 for pitpass and $15 a night to get in the stands.
