Wilmot #04 car for sale!

Yep, she's for sale. Car is running, and needs only minor things to make it dang near perfect. These include re-installing rear sway bar (if you should so choose, I have the sway bar, just need the mounting bracket on the passenger side, current one is bent), replacing the right rear shock (I have a spare or two for that also), and reinforcing the passneger rear control arm mount. 2 plates of 1/8 or 1/4 steel welded to existing angle iron would do the trick. That's it. And the car is fast too. Granted I've only won a heat race, but given the competition all those times and the fact that it's a top 3 car, not too shabby. Got a bunch of spare parts. Steering rack, steering rack used with a little play in it, some front and rear shocks, passenger half-shaft (the one in there is new with lifetime warranty), spare radiator (again, new one in car, lifetime warranty), sheet metal for body work, I'll toss in the last remaining quart of green paint to touch up paint the car should you want to keep the color, spare rims, spare tires of assorted sizes. I have a few 195/70's and 185/70's I think, as well as the 4 tires on the car which are 215/60's if I'm not mistaken. The car handles great and is a fast runner, I just have had bad luck this year. Had a tire blow costing me a feature 2nd or 1st place, then the first halfshaft I had put in was in bad shape from the store, and that broke in half, costing me another close 2nd or 1st place in another feature race. I would like to see 850 for it. I know there's some interest already, just a matter of nobody has called me yet. First 850 takes it, I can deliver it up to a 20 mile radius if need be. PM me if interested, I can email pics and a more exact list of spare parts upon requests. Just haven't gotten any fresh pics yet, and spare parts are in a few places in the garage after a botched re-organization on my part.
i have some history with this car. it can use some work but still a good deal. one of the more legal cars out there. good luck selling but i think you should keep it and keep racing!!
Believe me I'd love to, but it's just not in the cards right now. If I were to keep it and keep racing I'd have to go out and buy more tires as well as a dash pad and various other things to make it legal for asphalt, because I can't keep racing dirt. Or at least, can't keep racing Wilmot right now. If they got the track figured out to where it were smooth again, I could consider trying to find money elsewhere. Right now it's more a need for money than anything. Pizza delivery driver just isn't paying the bills very well anymore.
i wouldnt worry about passing tech somewhere else. your car is built pretty decent and most tracks will let you race. junk yard tires are cheap or you can always borrow some. no way you can duplicate that car for close to 850.
True but the problem is I really need the money right now, I got an apartment complex breathing down my neck about getting rid of a car, and I can't afford to take off work on the busiest nights to trash my car, then have to put time and money (of which I really don't have either) into it. So it's inevitable it has to go. Maybe people will be willing to have me drive their cars or something from time to time hahaha

Well this is interesting. Never thought there'd be much interest in my car. I have 2 offers on it, and I've PM'd both of you already. First person to call me and bring the money takes it. It's still on my trailer in the garage so I'll need to pull it out and off the trailer, and toss in all the spare parts, but that won't take long. I just don't have room for anything outside so that's how it's going to stay for the time being. Essentially, first person of the two of you that calls and will bring money and a trailer to haul it away takes it. I can't afford to play favorites or anything, and I haven't promised it to anyone yet, so give me a ring and leave a message! I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know due to collections agencies and whatnot, so message is a must. Good luck you two, hope to maybe see it on the track tomorrow!
