wilmot fearless fours
Yeah, this class is getting crazy but im going to try and finish the season out strong then im done. we need to talk to the guys who are coming in thinking this is a demo durby and be like hey this aint how we race. Points are getting extremely close at this point, even though they cant update them. : (
Jake, if the 199 guy doesnt follow through on the buy i know someone whose willing to pay some money for a decent car, so just let me know, and my dad wanted me to tell you if you need anything to give him a call.
yea ill be suprised to see them once there updates. im asking for a hard copy of them tomorrow, to see where im at after the last few weeks. they shouldnt change by much itll just be alot closer now. everyone wont have a hundred points on the guy behind or in front of him. itll make an interesting season fromhere on out. my lady sounds like a honda again so hopefully tomorrow goes well.
Thank you Crystal, I will keep that in mind if he doesn't reply. I figure I'll give him a week and see if he says anything, then it'll be up for sale. As for parts, I really only need 2 parts. The piece on the driver's side that keeps the tire straight up and down (don't know the name), and a rear sway bar mounting bracket that is held on to the frame by only 2 bolts. That's really all I need, and some custom fabricating for the lower control arm, and it's good to go again.
I have thought long and hard about it, and since they can't dial in the track and when they actually get it decent, we're in staging for almost an hour, I will be stepping out of my race gear and spectating. Tomorrow will be a spectator day unless someone needs a driver. I'll bring my gear just in case, but I doubt anyone will need a driver, so I'll just be chilling in the pits. I wanted originally to run Booker's car, but there's no sense in going and getting it, bringing it to the track, and either wrecking it because people like the 17 show up, or breaking something because the track is too rough. He's trying to sell that car as far as I know, and I would hate to be the reason he can't.
I know as soon as the green flag drops for the Fearless 4's tomorrow night and I'm in the pits watching it'll be real hard. Don't know how I'll react. It's too bad really, I loved racing. More than anything else I've ever done. Geographically I'm limited by my tow vehicle, it doesn't like pulling long distance and the trailer is too heavy for it to have the car loaded forward, and if it's backed on the trailer it seems all squirriley. So I'm pretty much limited to Wilmot, and since they can't run it decent this year, I'll let someone else have fun with my car. Shame too, finally got it to where I like it and could really do well if the track were smooth.
id call todd jake. idt he is selling it, i asked him... and how many things have broken this year not that many jus go around and get your points dude. i feel you bra, my shit has been fuckin' up lately.
After about 4 hours sweating bullets today I think my car is runnable, last night my wife convinced me somehow to just fix it and run hot laps, then park it and watch the races tonight. That's probably what I'll do. For whatever reason I can't get it in reverse now, and it was fine before Roy used it. It was in fact backed in to my pit stall when he took it so I don't know what's going on with reverse. Probably just something simple but I know nothing about transmissions. Too many cars of mine have met the junkyard because of bad transmissions, I should really learn about them. As for points, unless they updated them since last night I still don't know where I'm at, and with me not racing this year anymore, it doesn't really matter. I'd love to keep racing but I just don't have it in me.
