2010 season at Wilmot
I also found out that we will yet again be the last class to race. Im def going to do some complaining, but the reason we got so many friday-monday-sunday shows is because the people who run the track all work for IRA, so where they go the people who run the track go too, unabling us to race saturday nights. I think this is pretty much bullshit. The only way for us to get better nights of racing is to get the car count up. SS have like 8 more nights then us because there are 53 SS drivers (maybe more) signed up to race this season, yeah crazy,
You gotta admit though that the car count was huge last year for our class. At one race didn't we have 25 cars?
25 cars on the last nite, and about 10-12 finished the feature..........not good
On the plus side of things our class is doing better than the trucks...
Trucks? Did Wilmot ever have one of those classes? I kinda remember LG havin a truck class...
Cool. But kind of a redundant class. Too much like other classes with simply a body style change.
Yeah, they had trucks a few years back. They had them there that night we went like four or five years ago.
Still no "annoucement" on the F4 meeting... BIG surprise. I have a very good feeling there wont be time...
i heard they were going to out law focis. haha jk

Also, May 2nd will be about last chance to order your RaCeiver radio's and have them in time for opening day. Those of you you ordered initially will be able to pick your radios up on this Sunday. "A minimal pit pass fee"...

At least we don't have to make a special trip anywhere for the meeting, it's 1pm on the 2nd.
The trucks were gay....nobody missed anything, dont worryTrucks? Did Wilmot ever have one of those classes? I kinda remember LG havin a truck class...

From the site:
FOR PRACTICE NIGHTS AT THE TRACK:
PRACTICE NIGHT -
GRANDSTANDS FREE - PITS $15
come on guys, 15$ isnt that bad, they gotta put alot of money into opening the track for us to practice. they got alot of insurance fees they gotta cover. and they just did alot of work on the track for us, they added like a foot of new clay, banked the turns more, redid the bathrooms, re did the front streatch wall & fence, they really are trying to make it better for us. im not complaining and i got a pretty far drive up to the track...
I just look at it from the standpoint of they made a ton of money off our class alone last year, considering how much we have to pay weekly and the fact that they pay what, 100 for a win? If that?
But I'm not gonna complain, I need the practice, so it's worth it I guess
I think they give out as much money as they can to the drivers. considering every night that we run they gotta pay to have an ambulance there, tow trucks, they do pay the people in the concesions and the track officials. they have to pay to light the place, all the water they put on the track, the equipment they use isnt free, they put alot of money into the show, and we are getting alot more money back then when the simons ran the track. and if the crowd count stays high, they will make the pay out better. and you gotta look the cost of one of our cars together, you cant even buy a competitive ss motor. ss spend 70$ a night just alone on racing fuel. they should get a little bit more money back, considering i can fill my tank for like 30$ and race half the season on that.
i dont know, im just saying that we shouldnt be complaining about the 15$, we should just be happy that they are opening the track for us to practice.
