The only "D2" brand I know of is Chinese knock off bull shit. Wouldnt put them on my car if someone gave them to me.
So, either go Eibach Sportline. You will most likely need front and rear camber kits if you go that low though.
And def some upgraded dampers (shocks and struts) with that much drop.
yea i know i need the damper right away when i install them about how long do you think i could hold off on the struts cuz i wanna get the koni yellows, here are the d2's
Yep. Junk. Made in the same factory as K Sport, BC, Stance... All garbage.
I'm going to post a great tech article by Mike Kojima (old SCC editor) that really elegantly spells out the evils of this imitation garbage (he's got a way with words, and there are some great carnage pix!).
I'll find it here in a minute. Bottom line is suspension components are one area you've really got to think long and hard about buying cheap shit on. Sure, buy a knock off intake, blow off valve, short shifter or exhaust and it might suck or eventually break. But none of those are going to kill or mame you. But try doing 120mph and having your cheap ass bogus coil over or spring break in half. Your body, your car and that guard rail a few feet away are going to become intimately aware of the perils of this imported junk all at once.
If your keen on getting springs in purple to match your theme, I'm definitely with you though. You should grab these (quality, US made!!!) Ford Racing springs I have here ($139) and we cand re powder coat them (any color you want really) purple for $45. You'll still be cheaper than those D2's and have a way better product you can trust.
wise words, from the lord of speed.
