Mustang DOMINATES Super Slow Camaro

SANTA MONICA, California — The 2010 Ford Mustang, thanks to a December sprint to the finish, won the pony car sales race over the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
And it wasn't as close as anticipated.
Ford Mustang sales came in at 66,623 vehicles; General Motors sold 61,618 Chevrolet Camaros.
Edmunds.com had estimated the Camaro had a shot at beating the Mustang. Camaro sales had increased month by month while the Mustang's fell. And GM had insisted it would win.
But in the end, it became clear Ford was not about to give up its sales title. In December, Ford sold 6,327 Mustangs. That was 62 percent more than December a year ago and significantly more than the 3,627 it sold in November.
Inside Line says: In 2010, the race continues with Ford and Chevrolet upping the ante — Ford with the more powerful 2011 Mustang and Chevy with a Camaro convertible. — Michelle Krebs, Senior Analyst and AutoObserver.com Editor at Large

isn't dodge someware in this at all or did we just drop them because they did so crapy
As much as I like the Challenger, it's really too big to compete in the pony car war. Then again the Camaro's flabby ass weighs in damn close, so why not:
Not even HALF:
January 11th, 2010
As 2009 came to a close so did the first full year of
sales with the numbers not really telling us much. At around 25K
Challengers sold is the number good or bad, well it's hard to tell as
the
sold a disappointing 66K and the Camaro sold around 60K. Compared to
both the Mustang and Camaro I would say it's bad but how many
Challengers did Chrysler expect to sell in the first place. If
Chrysler is profiting from just 25K units sold than times are good, if
not something has to be done to improve sales whether its more incentives
or better APR financing terms. The complete rundown on Challenger
sales is below.
Sales of the Dodge Challenger for December of 2009 were 2,536 compared
to 2,602 from December of 2008 showing a 3% decrease in sales from the
previous year. Year to date Challenger sales are 25,852 compared to
17,423 for 2008, which is a 48% gain.
Month to Month sales had a nice healthy increase as November 2009
Challenger sales were 2,040 compared to December 2009 sales of 2,536
which is a 24% increase from the previous month.
Checking out the competition, Camaro sales were 7,548 while the Ford
Mustang sold 6,327 in December.
For previous months of Challenger sales check out November 2009,
October 2009, September 2009, August 2009, July 2009, June 2009, May
2009, April 2009 and February 2008 - February 2009.
