Uhhh...  Removing cats is a pretty tried - and - true way of increasing HP.  Nothinh "ridiculous" about that...   Very few of my cars have 'em.

Thats why you add a resonator or another muffler, both of which is way less restrictive than a cat. Go to GLD, I bet you could count on your hands how many fast cars have cats on them. My pos truck doesnt have one. Its got a glasspack and a fake flowmaster on it and its very quiet.
