Massive Speed Race Wagon 2010 Build Coverage
We have begun work on our newest project, the 2010 Race Wagon (a working title). She began life as a 2001 Focus SE Auto Wagon. I purchased the car a few months back as a parts car, as it had 4 perfect doors to replace the lightly body damaged ones that resided on my other white 2002 Rally wagon. She has given up quite a few other items in the process. After seeing it sit for so long, i made the determination that it was time for some more noble cause for the frame. It will need the front pass side frame horn straightened or replaced, and the old doors from my '02 reinstalled, but all in all the car is in excellent shape. Stripping is more or less complete.
Engine assembly has begun. This will be a strong NA setup that will be a purpose built race car - it is not street legal. We have a wealth of used parts that will call this machine home. Manual swap will be performed. When we are done with her, I may be too moved by her beauty to put the car "in the dirt" at our local 1/3 mile clay oval, so who knows, it may be a road race/autocross slut... Maybe a drag dominator... Rally car. Dunno.
First task will be to cut the roof off to construct a killer cage. Need to buy a bender first though...

The cage will be so nasty your car will smoosh from the impact. I cruise on to the winners circle, and the waiting legions of female fans.

Right click the pic. Select "copy image location" (if using Firefox). Then paste that into that "insert image field on this site". Like so:
If your using Internet Explorer, right click, select "properties" and then cut and paste the test in the "address:" area. Then dump that into the "insert image" field on this site. Like so:

Completed final stripping and welded up/patched holes in firewall last night. Modified stock dash support.

Could have my vinyl dude make some "Gulf" logos. They used to be a huge oil/petroleum company like a Shell.
Could change the wording to "gulp" or some shit.. :)
