Wilmot Racer's Banquet Friday, Nov 6th 2009

The location will be the McHenry (IL) VFW Hall located on Rt. 120. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the track, simply take Wilmot Rd into IL and cross Rt. 12, Wilmot Rd turns into Johnsburg Rd at that point. Take Johnsburg Rd into Johnsburg and make a left on Chapel Hill Rd. Take Chapel Hill Rd to 120, make a Rt and the VFW is about a block up on right side. Can't miss the big American Flag! There is a large bar and ample parking. Our 5 division champs will be honored, plus a few other awards presented too. Wilmot Raceway announcer Ray Underwood's band, "Retroactive" will provide the entertainment. This is not intended to be a typical banquet type setting, but more like a bar party. There will be food provided. A $5 "cover" per person at the door takes care of the band and food. No advance tickets required. Just show up, have a drink, grab some food when you feel hungry, honor our award recipients, do some bench racing, watch race videos from this past season, and enjoy the music. Pretty simple..... and we're more than confident that Ray will keep the place energized. Time frame is 8pm til close, no specific start time, any time 8 or after is fine. The other half of the Hall is open to us at 10pm for those that want to spread out for quieter conversation. We'll hand our awards out in between band sets. It should be a good time.......
