Done for the year

for those that dont know last week at the IMSM race in 1st round of qauls, the car pushed coolant out of the overflow bottle... thinking it was a head gasket I just called it a wash and loaded up the car and hung out and watched some great racing...
 
fast forward to this week after to talking to a few and reading online we thought maybe it was just that the cap had failed since it is almost 10 years old..... so today changed the cap and checked everything over and did a little test by going up on the trans brake a few times and it held fine with making 5 psi on the trans brake.. so we hurried up and loaded the car up and went to byron to make a few test runs since it was already 3:00pm and they close at 6pm...
 
we got to Byron at 4:40 and got right in the lanes and on the 1st run it spun hard but other then that it was a clean (slow but clean ) run.... got it back the pits and popped the hood and checked everything out and it was fine.... so we got back in the lanes to make a 2nd run this time it spun hard but was still a better 60' run was sub par... 1/8 mile was down 2mph and 1/4 was down 4... what do you know when we popped the hood yep there was coolant/water that had pushed out again
 
I was having a friend drive the car so i could watch and try to get a idea what it was doing and try to find why we cant get this thing to hook for shit...
 
so after all the money I have put into this car this year  im not going to fix it this late in the season and just do it in the offseason
